PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon fiber reinforced composite material having the same strength and light weight compared with conventionals, and to provide carbon fiber woven fabrics thereof. SOLUTION: The method for producing carbon fiber woven fabrics comprises spinning pitch fiber to obtain a pitch fiber tow of 500-3,000 single fibers, adhering a binder on the pitch fiber tow, heat-treating to obtain an infusibilized fiber tow, carbonizing the infusibilized fiber tow to obtain a carbon fiber tow and weaving the carbon fiber tow to obtain the carbon fiber woven fabrics, wherein the pitch fiber contains 40-100% optically anisotropic structure and the diameter of the single fiber of the pitch fiber tow is 8-13μm.
