PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus tactilely displaying that input operation has been carried out by vibrating or displacing a touch panel without generating operation sound such as a beep sound when input operation is carried out during an REC mode. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus 1 is provided with a picture recording part, a sound recording part, a picture displaying part, the touch panel input device 4 for carrying out input operation by touching or pressing the touch panel 13, and a vibration generating part 14 operating when input operation is carried out by the touch panel input device. When input operation is carried out by the touch panel input device 4 during a reproduction mode, the operation sound such as the beep sound, and tactile vibration are generated by the vibration generating part 14. When input operation by the touch panel 13 is carried out during the REC mode, only the tactile vibration is generated in the touch panel by the vibration generating part 14 without generating the operation sound such as the beep sound.
