ELECTRONIC WATERMARK EMBEDDING DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC WATERMARK DETECTION DEVICE

There are provided an electronic watermark device and an electronic watermark detection device capable of realizing a stable electronic watermark by using a small number of pixels and embedding/detecting a greater electronic watermark information amount with the same number of pixels used for an electronic watermark in the conventional technique. The electronic watermark embedding device includes: an embedding information conversion unit (103) for converting embedding information into a bit string formed by "0" and "1" so as to embed each bit of the converted bit string a plurality of times and outputting an electronic watermark pattern having N pieces of "-1" or N pieces of "+1" as elements; an orthogonal pattern generation unit (105) for generating an orthogonal pattern configured by a combination of elements "-1" and "+1" which orthogonally intersect each other; an integration unit (109) for integrating the orthogonal pattern from the orthogonal pattern generation unit with respective elements of the electronic watermark patter from the embedding information conversion unit; and electronic embedding unit (107) for embedding the embedding pattern from the integration unit into an input image and outputting the image after embedding information.
