<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver capable of reducing a defect imposed on display of a plurality of kinds of information items even when a processing load is increased in the case that the display of the information items is effective. <P>SOLUTION: In a state that display of data broadcast information and display of close-captioned information are both set effective, a processing load detection section 21 detects a state of use of an input buffer 7 and outputs a control signal for denoting a processing load excess to a control section 1 when the state of use indicates overflow. Then the control section 1 switches the operating mode from an ordinary mode into a processing load reduction mode. The control section 1 controls a data broadcast decoder 12 so as to stop reproduction of the data broadcast information under this mode. Since the processing load of a graphic processing section 13 is reduced, the close-captioned information is displayed on a display section 14 in a correct timing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
