PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removal-insertion tool which can be used that both removes the old wire assembly and then installs a new wire assembly. SOLUTION: A wire assembly 2 which can be treated by the removal-insertion tool 1 is configured to string a wire electrode 12 from both ends by a plurality of insulator anchors 5 which are movably held in position by respective grippers 6. The tool 1 has a sufficient long and slender shape to receive a dicorotron unit to be fitted in a manner whereby the dicorotron unit can be nest therein, top end section openings 4, flexible levers 9 provided on the outside surface of each end and projections 10 extended inwardly from the levers 9. The tool 1 is used in the unloaded state of the wire assembly, in a removal step and in the loaded state of the wire assembly, in a deposit step. In the removal step, the levers 9 are pressed to remove the anchors 5 from the dicorotron unit by the projections 10 and in the deposit step, the wire assembly 2 is pushed through the openings 4, to remove the respective anchors from the tool 1 and snap the grippers 6 into apertures located at the end of the dicorotron unit.
