PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamed molded article capable of preventing oozing of oil and coloring matter, a method for producing the same, and a food package obtained by containing and packaging food or the like in the foamed molded article. SOLUTION: The foamed molded article is obtained by foaming expandable polystyrene-based resin particles for foaming, wherein the expandable polystyrene-based resin particles has a surface layer formed by polymerizing a crosslinkable monomer and a styrene-based monomer on the surface of polystyrene-based resin particles, and the surface layer is impregnated with an easily volatile blowing agent. Voids are observed between foamed particles on the cross section of the foamed molded article, wherein the number of voids having a major axis of 100-500μm and a minor axis of 10-100μm is 5 pieces/cm<SP>2</SP>or less.
