PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device in which emission failure caused by peeling and floating of a functional layer is reduced and an electronic equipment, and a manufacturing method of the display device. SOLUTION: The organic EL display device 10 as a display device is provided with an element substrate 2 on which a plurality of organic EL elements 12 are arranged as a light emitting element which consists of a pixel electrode 29, a barrier rib part 30 for demarcating the pixel electrode 29, a functional layer 40 laminated so as to cover the pixel electrode 29 and the barrier rib part 30, and a negative electrode 50 laminated on top of the functional layer 40 so as to be opposed to the pixel electrode 29. A projected part 31 which protrudes on the top of head side as an adhesive part is provided at the barrier rib part 30, and the element substrate 2 is sealed by a sealing substrate 1 having a color layer 9 through a sealing layer 60.
