PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which is imparted with a wear resistance to suppress the growth of a flaw, is excellent in solubility and stability of a coating liquid and hardly gives rise to the occurrence of a solvent crack. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor having a polycarbonate resin on a surface layer is characterized in that the polycarbonate resin has a repeating unit expressed by formula (1) and a repeating unit expressed by formula (2) and has a glass transition temperature of≤155°C.
