PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary compressor without requiring to add a new functional part for fixing a vane spring to a vane spring installing hole by easily installing this vane spring in the vane spring installing hole by surely fixing the vane spring to the vane spring installing hole. SOLUTION: A diametrically expansive part 81 having a diameter larger than a diameter of the vane spring installing hole is arranged in a part of the vane spring installing hole 80, and a large diameter spring part 52 of the vane spring 50 is fitted to its diametrically expansive part 81, and the vane spring 50 is fixed to and held by the vane spring installing hole 80, and a step height 85 generated by forming the diametrically expansive part 81 is set in a range of 10% to 50% of a spring diameter of the vane spring 50.
