PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair transport vehicle by which a burden on a care giver is reduced while a height over the head of a person sitting in the wheelchair is secured. SOLUTION: On the floor 14 of a rear cabin 13 of the wheelchair transport vehicle 1, a general surface 15 of a standard height and a lower floor surface 16 which is lower than the general surface 15 by one stage is formed. On the lower floor surface 16, a lifter 17 for putting the wheelchair on and off from a back door opening part 11 is provided. The lifter 17 is composed of: driving parts 21; lift arms 22 extending from the respective driving parts 21; and a platform 23 supported between right and left lift arms 22. The platform 23 is moved from a cabin outside position 25 to a cabin inside position to transport the wheelchair on the platform 23 into the rear cabin 13. The placing surface 51 of the platform 23 is set to be at a position lower than the general surface 15 of the floor 14 while the platform 23 is housed in the rear cabin 13.
