Connecting strip (1) has a bearing strip (3) and a coating layer (4) glued to the bearing strip by coating the whole surface with adhesive (5). Bearing strip, coating and adhesive have a flash point of at least 200[deg] and an ignition temperature greater than 200[deg]. The coating layer can be homogenous. Alternatively it can be multi-layered and can have a deccorative paper layer (7) with flash point of at least 200[deg] and ignition temperature greater than 300[deg]. The paper is between 40 g/m2> to 200 g/mthick. An embossed sheet is put on the top side whose flash point is higher than 200[deg] and ignition temperature greater than 300[deg]. Bearing strip is a medium or high density fiber board, or chipboard or made of thermo-plastic pulp. |
