摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve superior cycling characteristics of an nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, by providing a positive electrode containing a mixture of lithium transition metal composite oxide and lithium manganese composite oxide which includes at least Ni and Mn as a transition metal and is expressed using the chemical formula: Li<SB>a</SB>Mn<SB>x</SB>Ni<SB>y</SB>Co<SB>z</SB>O<SB>2</SB>(wherein x, y and z satisfy 0&le;a&le;1.3, x+y+z&le;1, 0<x&le;0.5, 0<y&le;0.5, and 0&le;z&le;0.5) as a positive electrode active material, a negative electrode containing a material capable of lithium absorption/discharge as a negative electrode active material, and a nonaqueous electrolyte. <P>SOLUTION: In the charge and discharge method, the charge control is carried out such that a charging termination voltage of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is made higher than 4.3 V. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
