PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode for a nonaqueous secondary battery easy for solidification even Si is contained in an active material, and electron conductivity thereof is excellent even polyimide is used as a binder.

SOLUTION: The negative electrode for the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes an active material containing Si, a conductive material, and a binder. The binder consists of a polyimide and a polyacrylic acid. The conductive material consists of a carbon material.
