<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmitting system for stably transmitting data regardless of a relative position of an optical fiber and a light receiving element even when the optical fiber has a fluctuating curved state and a short optical path length. <P>SOLUTION: The optical transmitting system comprises a means for enlarging a distribution angle of light from a light emitting element. The optical transmitting system comprises the light emitting element, and an angle enlarging means enlarging a distribution angle of light incident on an incident end from the light emitting element and emitting the angle-enlarged light from the emission end. The distribution angle is an angle made from a straight line connecting a point of optical intensity of a half of the maximum optical intensity and the light source or the optical element, and the optical axis, in a normal face to the optical axis and a far field pattern (hereafter, referred to as FFP) of light emitted from an optical element.
