摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a combined CIE value of light emitted from all EL pixels by reducing currents into EL pixels except for an EL pixel discharging light of a first color in accordance with decay of a first signal detected from the light of the first color when luminance of light of the first color emitted from an EL device decays. <P>SOLUTION: The EL device comprises a transparent substrate 302, a regulating device 324 and a plurality of EL members arranged on the substrate 302. Each EL member has an EL pixel 303 and a photodetector 322. Each EL pixel 303 comprises an anode layer 304, a light emitting layer 308 and a cathode layer 312. The photodetector 322 is connected to the regulating device 324 and disposed between the transparent substrate 302 and the EL pixel 303 and adopted for converting a portion of the luminance of the light 326 emitted from the EL pixel 303 into a signal. A current to the corresponding EL pixel 303 is regulated in accordance with the decay of a first signal and a combined CIE value of light emitting from all the EL pixels satisfies the predetermined set of CIE value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
