<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inflator, driving an actuator while the discharge quantity of inflation gas is increased. <P>SOLUTION: This inflator 11 is of a disk type, and includes: two combustion chambers, a main combustion chamber 23 and an auxiliary combustion chamber 24, the interiors of which are filled with a gas generating agent 28 burnt at the ignition of igniters 26, 27 to generate inflation gas; and a plurality of gas discharge ports 16a for discharging inflation gas. In this case, the actuator 31 is disposed on the auxiliary combustion chamber 24 side. The actuator 31 includes: a piston part 32 disposed in the auxiliary combustion chamber 24; and an operating piece 33 connected to the piston part 32, wherein the piston part 32 is pressed by the inflation gas filling the auxiliary combustion chamber 24, thereby causing the operating piece 33 to move outside the inflator 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
