PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wavelength converting laser apparatus capable of performing highly efficient wavelength conversion. SOLUTION: The wavelength converting laser apparatus includes: a plurality of wavelength conversion elements successively arranged on a route of an incident basic wave laser beam; a plurality of converging means for converging the incident basic wave laser beam passed through the plurality of wavelength conversion elements; and a plurality of polarization rotation elements arranged between the plurality of wavelength conversion elements. Each polarization rotation element allows the incident basic wave laser beam having a polarization direction which is different in each wavelength conversion element to enter and each wavelength conversion element is arranged so as to be rotated around an optical axis correspondingly to the polarization direction.
