PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve user's convenience when a group address is specified to transmit image data. SOLUTION: A facsimile machine previously stores abbreviated address information and group address information including a plurality of pieces of abbreviated address information. When the group address information is included in address information specified by a user as a transmission destination of the image data, the facsimile machine 10 displays an expansion button 425 on a display 100. Once the expansion button 425 is pressed, group address information displayed on the display 100 is switched to the abbreviated address information included in the group address information, the abbreviated address information included in the displayed group address information is edited, and the image data are transmitted to transmission destinations included in the group address information having been edited.
