PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten response time in active operation and improve driving capabilities by selectively driving a transistor controlling the final drive end during a standby operation or a self-refresh operation, and the active operation. SOLUTION: The voltage generator includes: a core voltage control means for generating a pull-up drive signal and a pull-down drive signal utilizing a power supply voltage: an output drive part for generating an internal voltage in response to the pull-up drive signal and the pull-down drive signal; and an active control part for controlling the drive power of the core voltage control means according to a bank active signal.
