PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary the position of a brake torque adjusting screw which energizes one end of the brake torque adjusting screw by changing the size of a ring-shaped shim or the screw itself. SOLUTION: This brake structure in a motor is so constituted as to change the brake torque of an electromagnetic brake part (7) by abutting the brake torque adjusting screw (21), provided freely of coming in and out of a tapped hole (20) in the rear cover (1c) of a casing (1), against the brake adjusting screw (15), and changing the compression state of this brake torque adjusting screw (15).
