PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To successfully display an image even in a memory type liquid crystal display device in which update time of a screen is shortened. SOLUTION: The memory type liquid crystal display device includes: a liquid crystal panel with a plurality of line side electrode and a plurality of column side electrodes, which impresses scanning voltage or signal voltage to the line side electrodes and the column side electrodes and displays display data; and a comparator circuit part which compares the number of line side electrodes and the number of column side electrodes corresponding to the display data, wherein which of the line side electrodes or the column side electrodes the scanning voltage or the signal voltage is impressed is decided by a signal from the comparator circuit part, and voltage values of the signal voltage when it is impressed to the line side electrodes and the signal voltage when it is impressed to the column side electrode are modulated.
