PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the ease of work for circumferentially parting a pipe such as a city water pipe, and to remarkably reduce a parting time. SOLUTION: A pressure cylinder 14 is installed in a pipe parting machine body 12, and a spherical member 16 is fitted to the end of the pressure cylinder 14 so as to be replaceable. Patches 20L, 20R are secured to mounting members 18L, 18R rotatably pivoted to the pipe parting machine body 12. Opposed surfaces narrowed to each other from the axis of the pressure cylinder 14 in the reciprocating direction of the pressure cylinder are formed on the patches 20L, 20R. When the pipe parting machine 10 is suspended and the pressure cylinder 14 is operated, the spherical part 34 of the spherical member 16 is lowered along opposed surfaces to separate the space between the patches 20L, 20R.
