PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wound pipe with an identification display, which wound pipe can be identified by an operator through recognizing a length, a plate thickness, a winding pitch, usage, a manufacturer, a manufactured date, etc. by his eyes, and as a result, does not require any measurement and inspection; and further to provide a method for simply manufacturing the wound pipe with the identification display. SOLUTION: The wound pipe (5) is formed such that neighboring side edges (2) of a spirally wound band material (1) are integrated, and the external surface (3) of the band material has the identification display (4). In the method for manufacturing the wound pipe (5) with the identification display, the band material (1) is moved in its longitudinal direction, and the identification display (4) is given on the band material in the front side of the moving process, and then the band material is spirally wound around a rotary mandrel (21) so as to overlap one side edge portion (22) of the band material on the other side edge portion (23) of the neighboring band material (1), and then the neighboring band materials (1, 1) are integrated, and finally the wound pipe is cut off so as to have a required axial length (L).
