PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic material treating device which facilitates filter cleaning without making a treating tank greater than needed. SOLUTION: The organic material treating device is equipped with the treating tanks 11, 12 for treating charged organic material, such as garbage, and removes the dust from the exhaust gas exhausted from the treating tanks with a filter 46, heats the gas by a heating means 57, heats the treating tanks 11, 12 by the heat, keeps the gas warm and exhausts the gas to the outside, in which the cover 15 closing organic material feed port 14 disposed in the treating tanks 11, 12 is provided with the filter 46.
