<p>The present invention relates a cleaning implement (10) for cleaning hard surfaces,comprising a handle (20) connected to a mop head (30) which is at least partiallydeformable, the mop head having a leading edge (31) connected to a trailing edge(32), wherein the mop head comprises a first cavity (40), said first cavity extendingfrom the leading edge towards the trailing edge, said first cavity forming anopening (42) only adjacent the leading edge when said mop head is in contact witha hard surface to be cleaned, said opening having a width of between about 50% andabout 100% of the entire length of the leading edge. The present invention furtherrelates to a cleaning system (60) for cleaning hard surfaces, comprising thecleaning implement (10), and a cleaning sheet (70) removably attached to themop head of said cleaning implement. The present invention further relates toa method of cleaning a hard surface comprising the step of wiping the surface withthe cleaning system. The cleaning imp lements and cleaning systems of the presentinvention have improved cleaning performance, especially improved pick-upcapability of larger soil particles.</p> |
