<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft magnetic amorphous alloy having over-cooling liquid zone and also having excellent amorphous formability and soft magnetic characteristic by selecting and optimizing the alloy composition in the amorphous magnetic alloy. <P>SOLUTION: The amorphous magnetic alloy is shown with composition formula: Fe<SB>100-w-x</SB>L<SB>w</SB>B<SB>x</SB>[wherein, Fe is the main component with inevitable impurities, L is one or more elements selected from Y, lanthanoid (La,Ce,Pr,Nd,Pm,Sm,Eu,Gd,Tb,Dy,Ho,Er,Tm,Yb,Lu) and misch metal (MM), and shown with 1 atm%≤w≤8 atm%, 14 atm%≤x≤26 atm%] and has excellent amorphous formability and soft magnetic characteristic and has over-cooling liquid zone.
