<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording medium which has high gloss and sufficient ink absorption and rough phase strength. <P>SOLUTION: This inkjet recording medium comprises a lower layer composed of a water-absorbing inorganic pigment, latex, boric acid or its salt, formed on a base material.
