<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish the connection of a new external device by separating an external device whose priority is low in connecting the new external device when the number of connections with an external device reaches the maximum number in an image processor, and to express the result understandably for a user. <P>SOLUTION: The connection priority order of external devices is determined, and the disconnection of the external device whose priority order is low is operated. When the external device is disconnected, the transfer of data with a user is operated by using the display device of the image processor or the display device of the image processor is made to display the result of the disconnection of the external device.
