<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiring box which can facilitate a work for fixing a box body to a building material, such that the front end face of the box body is flush with the front surface of the building material, while eliminating the possibility of becoming the obstacle of a wall material arranged in front of the building material, and to provide a attaching method of the wiring box. <P>SOLUTION: The wiring box 11 is provided, on the front side of a box body B, with a locking portion 17, projecting along the direction perpendicularly intersecting the attachment bearing surface to recede from the box body B and having a locking face 17a located being flush with the front side end face of the box body B on the rear surface. The locking portion 17 is coupled with the box body B via a portion 16 coupling the locking portion 17 and the box body B.
