PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a computer system capable of carrying out processing always in the same environment without depending on a terminal unit directly used by a user wherever a client used by the user is or whichever equipment the user uses. SOLUTION: The computer system is constituted to select one of a plurality of computer substrates not including a hard disk device, from the terminal unit to construct environment allowing remote operation, and to read and write data from the hard disk device connected to all the computer substrates through a network used by the user.
