PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens drive device capable of preventing fluctuations in the characteristic of a motor and smoothly moving a carrier in the direction of the optical axis of a lens by preventing deformation of a spring, caused by lateral displacement or backlash of the carrier, even when the inner ring and outer ring of the spring are not on the same plane. SOLUTION: The lens drive device drives the carrier 7 in the direction of the optical axis of the lens 10 in relation to an outer cylindrical portion 6 by electromagnetic force generated by power energized to a coil 10. The spring 9 is a plate spring of an annular shape as viewed from above and has an inner ring 9a attached to the carrier 7 and an outer ring 9b attached to the outer cylindrical portion 6. At least the inner circumferential edge of the outer ring 9b or the outer circumferential edge of the inner ring 9a has position restricting parts 25 which, when the inner ring 9a radially moves relative to the outer ring 9b, restrict radial movement by coming into contact with it.
