摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amplifying solid state imaging device capable of acquiring high quality images, and capable of reducing pixel size. SOLUTION: The device comprises a photoelectric conversion transferring unit 10 having a photodiode 1 and a transferring transistor 2 for transferring signal charge of the photodiode 1, a signal charge storing unit 8 to be connected to an output side of the transferring transistor 2 of the photoelectric conversion transferring unit 10, a charge amplifying unit 11 for outputting the signal charge of the signal charge storing unit 8 to a vertical signal line 9 after amplification, and a load circuit 12 connected to the vertical signal line 9. The above described charge amplifying unit 11 is composed of an amplifying transistor 4 whose gate is connected to the signal charge storing unit 8; a selection transistor 5 which is connected between a source of the amplifying transistor 4 and the vertical signal line 9; and a diode 3 to be connected between the gate and the source of the amplifying transistor 4 for enabling resetting potential to be added to the signal charge storing unit 8 from a side of the vertical signal line 9, while preventing movement of the signal charge from the signal charge storing unit 8 to the vertical signal line 9.
