PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability by stabilizing the balance of dynamic pressure generated in thrust bearing parts. SOLUTION: In a spindle motor 1, a fluid bearing device 4 having a shaft 41, a sleeve 42, first and second thrust flanges 41b, 41c, the first and second thrust bearing parts 72, 73 and thrust dynamic pressure generating grooves 72a, 73a is mounted. In the thrust dynamic pressure generating grooves 72a, 73a, a plurality of groove portions are connected with each other so as not to be formed independently, and the groove depth is gradually increased from the inner peripheral sides toward the outer peripheral sides.
