PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ozone generation apparatus capable of preventing a malfunction from occurring in a high voltage generation circuit beforehand. SOLUTION: In the ozone generation apparatus, when low-concentration ozone is generated, the high voltage generation circuit is controlled to operate for 1.7 seconds. The CPU of a high voltage control circuit judges whether 2 seconds has passed (S46) after the high voltage generation circuit starts to operate. When 2 seconds have passed (S46:YES), a control signal from a controller is checked (S47) regarding whether it indicates off which indicates stop of ozone generation. If all signals constituting a signal pattern of the control signal are not off (S48:NO), there is a possibility that a malfunction occurs in the high voltage generation circuit. Such a malfunction can be prevented from occurring in the high voltage generation circuit by outputting an abnormal signal to a PWM translate circuit (S49) and stopping the high voltage generation circuit in which a malfunction occurs.
