摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system and an operation method thereof which can perform the drying treatment suitable for a situation at the next-time start for a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system comprises the fuel cell which is supplied with a reactant gas and generates a power, and a control section to control performing the drying treatment for the fuel cell. The control section predicts an in-cell temperature at the next-time start after it receives a command to stop the driving (Step S5), and performs the drying treatment to reduce moisture in the fuel cell (Step S11) based on the prediction result (Step S7). The temperature of the fuel cell at the next-time start is predicted using a vehicular position coordinate (Step S1) measured by GPS, and a past ambient temperature transitional information obtained by ITS based on the vehicular position coordinate and a forecast ambient temperature transition (Step S3). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
