PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To incorporate a device which generates a rotation speed detection pulse signal, without causing the mounting space to increase. SOLUTION: In this rotation speed detection device for a brushless DC motor, a Hall IC which detects the magnetic pole of a rotor magnet and generates a pulse signal is arranged between the two magnetic poles of a stator core, and the magnetic flux receiving face of the Hall IC is arranged so as to be parallel with the tangent of the inner periphery of the rotor magnet.
