PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic wave shielding and light transparent member with the ease of connection of an exterior conductor for grounding, excellent in the transparency of an electromagnetic wave shield layer, having a sufficient yield, and excellent also in economical efficiency, in comparison with a usual method of laminating with adhesives a conventional metal and the conventional transparent film where melanism processing is carried out, and forming a metal mesh by etching after that. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic wave shielding and light transparent member comprises an adhesive and an electromagnetic wave shield layer between two sheets of support films. At least one part of the electromagnetic wave shield layer of the end of the electromagnetic wave shielding and light transparent member protrudes from a gap between the two sheets of support films.
