摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device of a field sequential system capable of reducing color shading. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device of the field sequential system includes a liquid crystal display panel, a drive circuit which drives the liquid crystal display panel and backlight which sequentially radiates light beams in a plurality of colors including first and second colors, is constituted so that video voltage of one color among the plurality of colors is written into each of a plurality of pixels by every field in one frame period, and light in one color among the plurality of colors is emitted from the backlight to display an image on the liquid crystal display panel, wherein when the drive circuit writes video voltage of the second color in a pixel electrode of the first pixel next to the video voltage of the first color, emission termination timing of a light source of the backlight for radiating the light of the first color to an area where the first pixel exists is slower than writing starting timing of the video voltage of the second color to the pixel electrode of the first pixel.
