PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection quantity control device of an engine effectively inhibiting abnormal combustion such as preignition even in the control using an air model. SOLUTION: The fuel ignition quantity control device is constructed in the engine equipped with an electronic throttle system so that a later throttle opening is estimated based on an opening command value of a throttle valve calculated from an operating amount of an accelerator pedal and a fuel injection quantity is controlled based on a cylinder-filled air volume estimated from the throttle opening. At sudden acceleration wherein the opening is larger than a predetermined value and a variation is larger than a predetermined value by excessive depressing operation of the accelerator pedal, the fuel injection quantity based on the cylinder filled air volume of a corresponding cylinder (a second cylinder #2) estimated from the later throttle opening based on the opening command value of the throttle valve calculated from the operation amount of the acceleration pedal at that time is corrected at decreasing timing beginning at the time of depressing the acceleration pedal.
