PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform deposit removing operation in a proper limit in a valve control device for variably controlling opening of a flow passage by the rotational movement of a butterfly valve. SOLUTION: This valve control device has the function of a removing pattern setting means for setting a removing pattern for removing a deposit with respective rotational positions of the butterfly valve. The removing pattern set to the respective rotational positions is any one of a passing mode of rotating the butterfly valve including the rotational positions or an unpassing mode of rotating the butterfly valve without including the rotational positions. The removing pattern setting means sets a threshold value to a resistance force corresponding quantity, and sets any one of the passing mode or the unpassing mode as the removing pattern in response to a comparing result of a detecting value and the threshold value of the resistance force corresponding quantity with respective rotational positions.
