PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition which comprises an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive resin prepared without the use of toluene, and excellent in the holding power at a high temperature to a low polarity material and in the releasability at a constant load. SOLUTION: This acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition is manufactured by, (A) in a one or more organic solvents selected from among an aliphatic hydrocarbon, an ester of an aliphatic carboxylic acid and an aliphatic ketone, (B) preparing a resin (a) of a weight average molecular weight of 550,000-900,000 by copolymerizing a monomer represented by formula (1) (wherein a homopolymer obtained by homopolymerizing the monomer of formula (1) has a glass transition temperature of≤-10°C) with 4-hydroxybutyl (meth)acrylate, furthermore (C) preparing a resin (b) of a gel fraction of 25%-50% by crosslinking the resin (a) with a polyisocyanate compound, and then (D) removing the organic solvent.
