<p>The arrangement has a transponder e.g. high frequency identification transponder, and a metallic component (1) assigned to the transponder. A high frequency antenna for the transponder is formed in the metallic component by a recess (3). A cover is assigned to the recess, and a hollow space is enclosed by the cover and the component and partially filled with dielectric material. The cover and/or the dielectric material in the hollow space is/are formed as a shield. A connection (6) is formed between the transponder and the antenna for transferring signals.</p>
