<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect temperature of a secondary battery through a simple arrangement. <P>SOLUTION: The charger comprises: a case 1 having a section 2 to which a secondary battery 3 to be charged is attached removably; a charging circuit incorporated in the case and charging the secondary battery 3 attached to the battery attaching section 2; a first charging terminal 7 connected electrically with the charging circuit and touching either one of the positive and negative electrodes of the secondary battery 3 attached to the battery attaching section 2 so as to charge the secondary battery 3; and a second charging terminal 4 having a polarity different from that of the first charging terminal 7 connected with the charging circuit. The first charging terminal 7 has a clamp portion 7E formed by turning up a metal plate oppositely, and a temperature sensor 14 is arranged at the clamp portion 7E. The temperature sensor 14 arranged at the clamp portion 7E detects battery temperature through the metal plate of the first charging terminal 7 touching the electrode of the secondary battery 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
