EQUIPMENT FOR PRODUCTION OF ELEVATOR SHAFT INFORMATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator shaft information transmitter capable of hierarchically very accurately positioning an elevator cage by signals.

SOLUTION: A light curtain 9 extending over a length of a cage threshold 5 and along the height of a cage door is produced by a first transmitter strip 10 and a receiver strip 11. When persons or objects are in a region of the cage doors or story doors, the elevator cage 1 is blocked. A swingable masking plate 12 is mounted on a receiver strip side at the end of a story threshold 6 projectedly into the light curtain such that a light beam is incident upon the masking plate 12 instead of a receiver strip. The interrupted light beam is indicative of the actual position of the elevator cage 1. A correction magnitude utilized for properly adjusting the elevator cage 1 from a coarse position to a target position can be determined from a predetermined target value and an actual value of the elevator cage position.
