PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store image processing control information obtained when a program is viewed last and to reproduce the program by using the image processing control information when the program which is recorded on an HDD and already viewed is reproduced. SOLUTION: A video display device has a receiving means of receiving a video signal, a signal processing means of processing the video signal received by the receiving means as specified, a display means of displaying a video signal output from the signal processing means, a recording and reproducing device which saves the video signal output from the signal processing means, a program information extracting means of extracting information on the program received by the receiving means, an image processing control means of controlling the signal processing performed by the signal processing means, and a program management list setting means of generating a program management list by linking information on a program to be viewed for the first time which is extracted by the program information extracting means with the image processing control information set by the image processing control means.
