PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging apparatus capable of preventing an image deterioration caused with time and saving electric power. SOLUTION: The solid-state imaging device 1 includes an operation part 3, a control part 5, a time measurement part 7, a timing generator 9, an imaging drive part 11, a solid-state imaging device 13, an optical system drive part 15, an optical system 17, a preprocessing part 19, a signal processing part 21, a display part 23, and a recording media part 25. When a digital image signal 55 generated by reading signal charges out of the solid-state imaging device 13 is driven in an auxiliary mode used for display or control, the control part 5 switches and specifies a photodetector to read the signal charges out of the solid-state imaging device 13. Consequently, status of deterioration of respective photodetector of the solid-state imaging device 13 can be made substantially uniform to suppress deterioration in picture quality and power consumption.
