PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric filter in which good spurious characteristics can be achieved without changing the overall dimensions or increasing the number of components and the manufacturing cost such as the assembling cost can be reduced. SOLUTION: In the dielectric filter having a plurality ofλ/4 resonators where a plurality of through holes are formed in a substantially rectangular parallelepiped dielectric block, having first and second opposing end faces and first and second opposing side faces, in parallel with the first side face and to connect the first and second end faces and a recess coated with a conductor is formed in the first end face of the through hole, at least a pair of adjoiningλ/4 resonators are principally coupled capacitively by the recess, and a shield electrode connecting the external conductors of first and second side faces is provided between the adjoining recesses on the first end face.
