PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a projector by enlarging an exhaust opening of the projector, lessening noise generated from a cooling fan, making it possible to make an exhaust temperature a prescribed temperature or lower, and improving cooling performance. SOLUTION: The projector has an upper case which stores a light source, a blowing fan, a control means, an optical system and a display element in the inside, and has a ventilation opening 20 exhausting cooling wind for a light source device 81 on a bottom plate 16; and a lower case having a front plate 17 provided with at least a bottom face plate 18 and right and left side walls and the exhaust opening 138. The upper case is rotatably assembled on the lower case. A deformable wind direction guide 21 is arranged in the ventilation opening.
