PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for supporting for constituting a directory tree, which automatically generates an appropriate directory tree structure before a person whose knowledge about a directory service is not enough actually performs initial setting thereof, and supports for constituting work of the directory tree. SOLUTION: Display means for displaying an inquiry for entry determination 13 obtains a name of department to be an entry candidate to display the inquiry for the entry determination onto a display device 16. An entry determination means 11 obtains an answer to the inquiry for the entry determination, makes an entry of the department corresponding to at least one of entry determination reference items on the basis of the answer, and determines not to make the entry of the department not corresponding to any one of the items. A result display means 12 obtains the determination result from the entry determination means 11, and generates an image showing a structure of a directory tree on the basis of the determination result to output the image to the display device 16.
