PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a nozzle plate, a method of manufacturing a liquid discharge head, and a matrix structure for manufacturing a nozzle plate for improving discharge performance by making a nozzle length in a surface of a nozzle plate on which a plurality of nozzle holes are formed uniform. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a nozzle plate comprises a step (b) for forming a resist pattern 71 corresponding to a diameter of a nozzle hole 51 to be formed and having a thickness corresponding to a length of the nozzle hole 51 on a matrix substrate 70 having a flat surface, a step (c) for placing a nozzle length-controlling member 80 having a flat surface on the resist pattern 71 so that the flat surfaces of the nozzle length-controlling member 80 and the matrix substrate 70 are opposed to each other, and a step (d) for forming a nozzle plate 501 between the flat surfaces of the matrix substrate 70 and the nozzle length-controlling member 80 by plating based on the resist pattern 71.
